RESERECTION
a poem by William C. Dwinell

Morning slipped softly,
Reserection from the night.
Survival of the fittest.
Another chance to see the light.

Life…so sweet and glowing.
Thank god…another day.
Birds…flowers…and sunshine
Set the stage for another play…

Love…it must be hiding
Oh God, what did I find?
It stood watching and listening.
I thought it deaf and blind.

When found it brings forgiveness
The soul begins to sing.
An angel smiles in heaven,
Reborn with brand new wings.

Morning…stole softly in,
Reserection from the night.
Survival sets the mainsail
For the journey from wrong to right.

WE

MAN and dolphin roam the sea
To each a different wait
One is like the other
Surrendering to Fate...

We can live together
Learning from the sea
That doesn't care for difference
And allows us both to be...

Sailing over oceans
A myriad of Greens
Rising, gently falling,
From dawn till dusk is seen

Each envies the other
and dreams to trade his place
For oceans ever greener
Lie in another space...

Perhaps a time will come, at last,
When safe we both will be
From those of us as hunters
And fishers of the sea...
