RESURRECTION
a poem by William C. Dwinell
Morning slipped softly,
Resurrection from the night.
Survival of the fittest. Another chance to see the light.
Life…so sweet and glowing. Thank god…another
day. Birds…flowers…and sunshine Set the stage for another play…
Love…it must be hiding Oh God, what did I find? It
stood watching and listening. I thought it deaf and blind.
When found it brings forgiveness The soul begins to
sing. An angel smiles in heaven, Reborn with brand new wings.
Morning…stole softly in,
Resurrection from the night.
Survival sets the mainsail For the journey from wrong to right.
